About the event

Are you self-taught and really don't know what you are doing?

Are you struggling with Excel?

Are you completely new or have very little experience with Excel?

Our 5 hour workshop has been designed for new and basic users of Excel that want to learn the beginner functions of Excel. It is aimed at absolute beginners where we concentrate on mastering the basics+.  No Excel experience or very little is required. You will learn how to enter and format data, how to set up and view workbooks and an introduction to formulas. We will give you the confidence to create spreadsheets you will require in business.

Our workshop is delivered in Office 2016 - compatible with Office 2010 upwards (please note that there may be minor differences).  Please note that Mac is not compatible. 

You will need to bring your own device (with Office 2010 upwards).  If you are unable to bring your own device, please let us know prior to the workshop and we will arrange one for you.

YOU WILL LEARN:

  • An overview of Excel
  • How to open, save and find workbooks
  • How to enter and format data
  • How to set up and view workbooks
  • Introduction to formulas 
  • Introduction to analysing tools
  • Keyboard shortcuts to speed up your spread-sheeting

DURATION: 5hrs - includes lunch and a PDF training book

A minimum of two people and a maximum of five

This workshop is registered with the Management Capability Development Voucher Fund, which means that you may be eligible for up to 50% off this workshop. Please note that you do not have to be a Chamber member to qualify for the funding. Even if you are applying for funding, you still need to book and pay for the workshop in full. Once you have attended the workshop, we will refund you the funded portion directly to your bank account.

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY:

(a) Cancellations 10 days or more prior to the Workshop will attract a 5% cancellation fee. Cancellations less than 10 days prior to the Workshop will attract a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellations less than 2 days prior to the Workshop are non-refundable. 

(b) We reserve the right to postpone or cancel a Workshop (e.g. due to insufficient registrations) in which case we will offer you an alternative workshop date or a full refund of all registration fees.

(c) If you receive funding, we will refund you the funded portion, once you attend the workshop.
